It just seemed to me like a good idea that, if you plan to fly to a
foreign country to see an art exhibit, you should buy tickets to the
country it's being held in.

But, hey, I'm no global jet-setter like NG tells us they are. So maybe
that's not how it works with them. We'll see when they reply (probably
in a new thread, so Michael can mark this one as spam :)

NancyGene made a mistake, and you corrected her...

...and then you (rather childishly, IMHO) turned your correction into a troll post.

Why should NancyGene, or anyone else, feed a troll?

Presumably, NancyGene has always known this. I strongly suspect that the mistake was indicative of careless reading, rather than lack of knowledge.

Yeats was an Irish poet and the article appeared in "The Irish Post." One could easily overlook the London location of the tribute when cross-referencing it.

But I'm sure you know this on your own.

Um... George...

So far in this post, you've called NancyGene "dishonest" and implied that she didn't know the location of "London." If you're claiming that my having called your post "childish" was an example of "name-calling," you stand guilty of the same on two counts.

PS -- Labeling a childish post as such does not constitute "name-calling" -- at least not to anyone mature enough to recognize it as such.

Lea[v]ing aside your name-calling: NG should reply in accordance with

When you make troll posts (as above), you will be treated accordingly. In this instance, NancyGene has chosen not to feed a troll.

It's easy to make fun of someone for having made an error; just as it is difficult to refrain from responding to a troll.

NancyGene is to be commended for her restraint. You, otoh, come across as... how can I put this as delicately as possible? Ah! You come across as a petty, vindictive child.

I didn't respond to your reaction to GD's post. Your reciprocal slurpage is taken for granted.

He said that I would block this thread as spam and that I, or NancyGene, would open up a new thread to respond in.

This, obviously hasn't happened, so George (just as obviously) was wrong.

We'll buy tickets! Maybe we'll buy Yeats' house!
London isn't in Ireland.
Ha ha
It just seemed to me like a good idea that, if you plan to fly to a
foreign country to see an art exhibit, you should buy tickets to the
country it's being held in.
But, hey, I'm no global jet-setter like NG tells us they are. So maybe
that's not how it works with them. We'll see when they reply (probably
in a new thread, so Michael can mark this one as spam :)
Why should anyone reply?
To acknowledge my original post. I assume that NG has read it, but is
just dishonestly ignoring it.
Post by Michael Pendragon
NancyGene made a mistake, and you corrected her...
Presumaby, NG has read my post, and now knows that London is in England,
not Ireland.
Post by Michael Pendragon
...and then you (rather childishly, IMHO) turned your correction into a troll post.
There you go again, trying to deflect an intellectual discussion into a
name-calling contest. I'll try to take the high road here, and I'd
encourage you to try doing the same.
Post by Michael Pendragon
Why should NancyGene, or anyone else, > feed a troll?
Leading aside your name-calling: NG should reply in accordance with
their own professed standards. They posted incorrect information, and I
was the first to post the correct information to aapc. By NG's own
standards, I expect not only an acknowlegement giving me credit, but
full credit -- everywhere -- until the end of time.
*****Crickets*****
For someone who claimed he wanted peace, I can't see any point to this post other than to troll NancyGene.

What's up with that, General?

Another example of the "good side" double standard.
And so it goes.
Pathetic but true....
Is that a tagline for Donkey's autobiography... or have you one of your own in the making?
You seem confused, you shit eating little monkey.

Zod was obviously referring to you and your thug friends.

I see a thread that could use my fire brand tag. Nothing personal, just business as usual you know-- for that desired signal to noise ratio.

"I'll let you be the judge of that one, my deal Rachel...! "
~~General Zod

Oops! Ha Ha! Hew Haw, Y'all Columbus real shit kickin' poets got yawselves a real home cooked comix education with a minor in grits 'n bullshit gravy!!

Here's spam that sWilly will approve of-- silly rhyme!
This "real" poetry show of yours,
reeks of rancid puss flow from sores
of a putrid "poet's" corpse abandoned,
septic overflowing with desperate canon-
spam spewage drowning any other content
in a cesspit of "not being a popularity contest"
And no plumber can fix this fiasco, by Gawd
this gaud of a bawdy poet's show so guffawed

Dockery, you promised me poetry,
not your imaginary victories
Nor your spam that stinks of soiled hosiery
Or your inane one-liner troll liturgies
I care not how much of a someone you are
because of the coattails you're a squatter of
Columbus means nothing when spoke of
by one of its ignoble sons
Your deeds reek of iniquities
when you promised me poetry

And so it goes, the Donkey shit plowing-
slinging it, trolling it the only way he knows
Mistaking people's upper lips for Zod's
the one he feels regularly as it prods
his ass opinions of his song and comix poet show
So obviously, onward the troll show must go!

How did he "nail" it, Donkey?

I haven't marked this thread as spam.

You seem to be extremely confused today... even more confused than usual... I strongly suggest you see a doctor at the (free) clinic, as you may have suffered a stroke.

Or, perhaps your senility has reached a point where you're no longer cognizant of previous passages in a conversation?

If so, you should be placed in a (free) shelter... rest home.

ZOD: Except when others here make mistakes, Nancy Gene and Pen never let it drop... just another example of their hypocrisy and double standards...

MMP: FYI: Whining is unbecoming in a General.

DONKEY: Setting the record straight isn't whining, troll.

MMP: Whining is whining regardless of what label you try to stick on it. Why do you whine so much, Donkey?

DONKEY: You're an expert on whining, Pendragon, since you do it constantly.

MMP: And IKYABWAI is IKYABWAI regardless of how many different variations on you come up with.

DONKEY: Typical troll comeback. And so it goes.

MMP: You whined. I called you on it.
You IKYABWAI'd in response. I called you on it.
Now you're whining again.
That's all you ever do these days, Donkey.
You whine, IKYABWAI, and whine again.
Around and around and around you go.
What sort of literary legacy is that?
What will your future biographers (I said it with a straight face!) have to say about you once they've seen you in action at AAPC?

DONKEY: I agreed with George Dance, Pendragon. No whining at all.

*****
It's painfully obvious from the above discussion, that you'd forgotten the thread of the conversation midway through.

Deflecting back to NancyGene's mistake is not going to erase your display of senility.

You haven't answered my question, General Zod.

I had called a cease fire with you because you said you wanted peace at AAPC.

Yet here you are trolling NancyGene. You've also been trolling Jim (re-posting my comments out of context in a separate thread in the process).

I don't know what you've been doing in the hundreds of threads that I've blocked, but if this is indicative of your behavior, you are certainly not behaving like a man who's interested in peace.

I'm afraid that if you continue to troll AAPC members, I shall be forced to resume "hostilities," and resume addressing you by your former, odiferous sobriquet.

I’d rather go to Ireland than London any day of the week.
But let’s talk about your deflections.... Can’t you even afford cab fare?
How fucking broke are you?
Just in case you missed this, pissbum.

We'll buy tickets! Maybe we'll buy Yeats' house!
London isn't in Ireland.
Ha ha
Perhaps John Dunne lived there.
Or, Edgar Allan Poland?
🤣
Don't leave out one of Nancy Gene's favorites, the great poet Stillings.
You broke ass mother fucker. If you don’t own a vehicle or you can’t afford cab fare for 4 miles, don’t try and shame anyone else here about anything.
You are really a sad and pathetic piece of shit.
Crawl back into your hole and stay there.
Good deflection, but it doesn't change Nancy Gene's latest fuck up.
What fuck up?
I’d rather go to Ireland than London any day of the week.
That's nice.

Except when others here make mistakes, Nancy Gene and Pen never let it drop... just another example of their hypocrisy and double standards...
FYI: Whining is unbecoming in a General.

You whined.

I'm aware you, Zod and George Dance have a truce.
You're confused again, Donkey. We do not have any such thing.

What we have is a *cease fire.*

A truce is an agreement wherein both sides promise to refrain from specific hostile acts.

A cease fire does not require the cooperation of one's opponents.

I have stated my intent to refrain from attacking either of the Georges. My reasons for doing so are not dependent upon reciprocal actions on either of their parts, and I reserve the right to resume hostilities at my discretion.

In the case of Mr. Dance, the cease fire will in all likelihood be permanent. In the case of General Zod, the cease fire is being undertaken as an experiment to see whether he will (as Mr. Dance suggested), post less often and limit his personal attacks to the retaliatory variety. Unfortunately, he appears to be launching attack posts (trolling) against Jim and NancyGene ("tatting" them in as per Mr. Dance's ethical system), thereby proving Mr. Dance's suppositions unfounded.

I shall, however, give him a little more time in which to live up to Mr. Dance's expectations.

not Ireland.

You don't want peace, why lie about it?
Do you deny that I've been addressing him as General Zod?
Okay, I'm aware you, Zod and George Dance have a truce or whatever you want to call it, it has nothing to do with me, as you know.

i didn't mind the other one...i mean, someone might misunderstand it up there like that....but these?

this is like when i was expressing my honest opinion (like a-h*les) about a movie (godfather part III). i mean, wtf, this isn't a cocktail party.

It just seemed to me like a good idea that, if you plan to fly to a
foreign country to see an art exhibit, you should buy tickets to the
country it's being held in.
But, hey, I'm no global jet-setter like NG tells us they are. So maybe

And you and donkey are quite obsessed with FG, you post to him even when he's not active here-- you obviously crave his abuse, it appears to me...
And so you keep it going for you have nothing else 'cause no one pays any attention to your so called real poetry-- so sad!
