No, there is only one "version", which is what really happened.
True.
1) You made an announcement of Bunny's forthcoming eviction.
2) You said that Bunny was expecting to receive VA benefits any day, but his landlord wouldn't wait.
3) You opined that you couldn't think of any way to rescue Bunny from his unfortunate plight.
(All of which strongly implied that you were soliciting the AAPC members for financial assistance.)
4) Jim offered to send you $50 to help Lady Bunny out. Jim specified that the money was to be offered to the landlord in exchange for allow Bunny to rent his trailer for few more days until the VA check arrived; or, pending the landlord's refusal, to buy Bunny such supplies as would be needed to help him survive the winter.
5) You provided Jim with your mailing address.
6) After Jim had stated that he'd mailed the $50, you suddenly remembered to tell him that Bunny would probably just spend it all on booze, drugs and whores.
7) You reported that the $50 had arrived, and you would be giving it to Lady Bunny.
8) A few days later, you proudly announced that the $50 had been well spent... on steak dinners for Bunny, your brother and yourself.
9) When Jim and others questioned your having utilized the money in this manner, you offered the following reason as justification:
"G.J. wanted to take us out for a steak dinner, just as we'd done several times that year already. I thought then as I do now this was better than spending the money on booze and weed, which is what he was spending most of his money on back then, if he had money."
You further claimed that: "GJ spent the money Jim sent him on food, which I think showed quite a bit of will power, considering how much he'd usually rather get high and so on."
10) When Jim complained that the money should have been spent on supplies for Bunny, you countered with the following:
"The man's been smoking and drinking heavily all his life, he has plenty of food stamps and the soup kitchen at Salvation Army so he's well fed... why not let him sit on the riverbank with is fishing pole and campfire and have a smoke and a sip of beer?"
11) It was then suggested that you'd spent the money without having told Bunny that it had been sent to prevent his eviction; and several of us theorized that his subsequent attack on your brother had been the result of his discovering the truth. You countered with the following:
"Actually it was not long before G.J. was in a black-out state from drinking and drugs and attacked my brother with a lead pipe. My brother, who has since forgiven G.J. and just last month bought the guy a pack of smokes and a tallboy beer."
In short, you threw Lady Bunny under a bus in a vain attempt to justify your actions.
