Why paranoid, Rachel?
There is no “Why”, because paranoia is characterized
by delusion, and not a product of reasoned thinking.

Then you should know that a poem cannot make a person paranoid.
Paranoia is a mental condition that, once diagnosed, can be treated.
I can neither diagnose nor treat someone I’ve never met for paranoia,
but I can recognize when a person exhibits symptoms of paranoia by
posting comments saying that reading a poem made them paranoid.

Why not? Rachel thinks Dylan raped her on stage and all the songs are written to and about her.

You? You are a dry drunk asking a paranoid woman, why? And your other buddy is just a drunk.

You remain an nobody trying to be somebody to nobodies.

You are a dry drunk
Jim Senetto, you talk so much about this dry drunk thing that I suspect either you're one yourself or some doctor told you that you were one, and you've started projecting that at me.

I stopped drinking thirteen years ago, in 2008, and have none of the symptoms.

So, there you go.

Even if he isn’t a dry drunk, he’s probably known a few,
as have you, I suspect. I know I have. The term may be
new to you, but dry drunks are not a rare breed. They’re
everywhere, from all walks of life, ages, races, religions,
economic and educational backgrounds. I don’t care
whether you’re a dry drunk or not. I just know that your
experience would help others if you chose to share it.

Okay, so the idea is that you attend a meeting in your area,
and share your story when it’s your turn. The idea continues
with you getting George to attend with you, so he can benefit
from the experience also, and you can be a positive influence.

Be careful wherever people gather indoors.
I know that many programs are having outdoor

You are a dry drunk
Jim Senetto, you talk so much about this dry drunk thing that I suspect either you're one yourself or some doctor told you that you were one, and you've started projecting that at me.
I stopped drinking thirteen years ago, in 2008, and have none of the symptoms.
So, there you go.
:)
This idea I like, thanks, Corey.
Okay, so the idea is that you attend a meeting in your area,
and share your story when it’s your turn. The idea continues
with you getting George to attend with you, so he can benefit
from the experience also, and you can be a positive influence.
Here we have the Agape House, which I frequented back in 1995 with my girlfriend at the time, who was a member.
Definitely a good place to hear and tell stories, great coffee, also.
Well, there you go. You should consider revisiting.
Not with the pandemic still going strong.
I appreciate the caution, but the same advisory
would apply to your open mic performances.
Be careful wherever people gather indoors.
I know that many programs are having outdoor
meetings. Maybe that's a possibility to explore.
I have not attended any events since before Christmas of last year.
I haven’t worked any events since March of last year.
July is the first thing I have on my schedule this year,
but things won’t really pick back up until September.
Hopefully.

FYI & FWIW:

My wife absolutely hates being called a beach bag,
so Don’t. Ever. Do. That. Or you’ll be very, very sorry,
and have to apologize in many ways, for several days,
notwithstanding the fact that it be meant as a term
of endearment, because she always knows exactly
what to pack, She. Is. No. One’s. Beach. Bag. Period.
So clearly, life’s a beach. Women are not beach bags.

Thank you. They are certainly similar settings, but
the sentiments expressed are significantly different.
In my poem, the water is seething, but isn’t sentient.
Understood.

Both of you are in the industry? That hurts. I know what you're going through, hear it a lot from musicians also-- and there's nothing that can really be said or done about. Especially since the unemployment safety net got screwed because our leaders had to play politics with it.

So far, the station has aired the interview during their 5:30pm,
6:00pm, 11:00pm, 4:30am, and 5:00am broadcasts, and I’ve
already received numerous emails as a result. I’m a celebrity.
What was the topic of the interview?
Fraud.
At the truck stop?
The interview was conducted at a truck stop on the interstate,
because it was convenient for both the reporter and myself.
They’re airing the damn thing again right now!
The reviews are in. People say, “At least you don’t look like a complete
idiot.”, as if looking like an incomplete idiot offered some consolation.
Here it comes again! They’ll apparently going to be airing
the interview during every half hour local news segment.

The reporter misspelled my name.
I saw that, they can probably correct it if you ask.

I suppose the reporter was close enough, kind of like when some people call me Willie and others call me Willy.

I think the point of the article is more important than how they spell my name,
and the benefit to other union members who are experiencing similar difficulty
is worth any embarrassment I may experience by having my life exposed publicly.

Jim Senetto, you talk so much about this dry drunk thing that I suspect either you're one yourself or some doctor told you that you were one, and you've started projecting that at me.
I stopped drinking thirteen years ago, in 2008, and have none of the symptoms.
So, there you go.
:)
Hopefully.
I have a schedule.
Okay.
TV station just called. They want to meet me at a local truck
stop in an hour to do an on camera interview. I'm nervous.
Cool, watched it at the web site...
