That's so true, it's never too late to start confessing. What they
don't make clear and probably should is you can stop at any time, and
you really don't need to go into detail. The priest has heard it all

Absolutely.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree most strenuously. Anyone who wishes
to become a good writer must write, and must love writing. They should
write anything and everything with reckless abandon, loving every
moment, and not be afraid to discard their accumulated writings
entirely and start again. Writing is life itself for some writers.
Writing is love, and loss, and love again. Writing is a process, an
act, like loving is an act. Love what you're doing, whatever you're
doing, and love writing about it, and voila! You're a good writer!
