Life During Reconstruction

And after a certain point
it was like
blow on my dice
I want to roll them.

Go ahead and see
just how bad it can get
in this black, and blue night.

Help it along
show me the code
for that secret madrigal.

Well when she died
it changed a lot
like that song about becoming
stardust and golden.

Just an abstract concept
on another level.

Then any hope of a happy ending
was set
nothing but hellos and dream tears
the Gods made that choice.

Doom!

My pain, you'll never know
that I found impossible
trying
to get over
to rise above.

My feet walk
until they are sore
over in the suburbs.

Old Corning Town
across state line
and Georgia law
across old Dillingham bridge.

Your smile will forever
elude me
M'Lady Katherine
your eternal beauty.

Sidewalk spinner
in the eternal wobbling
and your claims of love
never acted on.

And is it really tragic
watching it burn
from on high
up on Wright Road.

Or just my self pity
my self hatred
just another
dirt track demon
buried behind a smile.

A tattoo on his arm
that says "Maybe"
a little of both probably.

Like Rag Picker Joe
on crutches.

I was betrayed
heartbroken
banked out on the Speedway
a dozen times.

With a hundred
putrid metaphors
of course I never counted
before the final one.

I reckon this one
hit the nerve
holding the handle
with a suitcase to Hades..

Until you ascended
and I found myself free.

I was farmed out
of senior service
of Her Majesty
The Angel of Esquiline Hill.

Sweet dark angel
of the ozone stigmata
the slick red mud
of the river bank.

Twilight Girl
But I never wanted this freedom.

This drifting
on a black sea
throwing dice and coins
at the phantom gunboat
in an underwater railroad.

While you sleep tight
with the fishes.
No light in sight
And none expected.

"At least it's poetry..."

As if you'd know most poetry, Pen... you proudly show that you don't "get"
most poetry, Pen.

That's my point, Pen... you have no clie what "poetry" can be, because
you're stuck in your rut, the defunct form of sing-song, bland
pretentiousness that "modern" poetry tossed aside and moved forward from.

I'm sure I understand modern poetry far more clearly than you ever will. I dislike it because I could write something of equal "quality" without giving it a thought.

You're "poetry" is incredibly simple to compose. All one has to do is make an outline of vaguely related, cliched thoughts and phrases, then jot them down like a laundry list.

By your own admission you don't understand jack shit about modern poetry, or

Where did he admit that? He's repeatedly claimed the exact opposite.

Where did he say that? Inside your pointy little head when you were
dreaming about him (presumably dressed up as Mr Chekov)?

Feel free to post a critique of a poem, Dreckster. Nothing could
better demonstrate your superior "understanding" than a critique, but
it's something you seem not to have found time for in the past fifteen
years.

Please try to get back to speed: Pendragon has advocated burning not just the poetry but the poets, too. He's been asked who else he wants to burn, but he usually ducks those questions.

George...PsychoticBarney has, more than once, called for me, a Yehu'di/Jew, to be burned alive, or that he wants me to 'fuck off and die'...he is a fascist fabricator, and Peter J. Ross can run his own searches for the neo-nationalsozialist screeds of PsychoticBarney...

The rhyme patterns change a great deal. The poem in tonight's video alters its pattern midway through, then returns to the original form for the finale.

Modern readers don't care for rhyme because they don't understand its complexities. But that's to be expected -- after all, they were raise on (c)rap music.

We are currently living in a dumbed-down age. The 20th C. saw the dissemination of higher education to the masses. The 21st C. will witness a return to classicism in the arts, as the masses reach the levels of cultural development enjoyed by the upper classes in the 19th C.

And when that day arrives, your Ginsbergs and Bukowskis will be tossed out with last night's trash.

Life During Reconstruction
Shalom & Boker tov, Will...I have long known that to make sweeping condemnations of the 'south', as non-writer 'NaziGene' does every chance they can (opening their mouths is cross-contamination), is as reprehensible as making 'saints' of all 'northerners'. I have always recommended so many to consider: blues/jazz/'folk'/'country' have produced far more performative poets than the 'north'. Think: Levon Helm, for example. Even klezmer is influenced by the 'south'. And the New World Slave Order kept millions of 'southern whites' in abject misery...even now, the 'Reconstruction' (the re/conquering of the 'south' by equally racialist 'north') has scarred generations. I think this, in part, illustrates how malicious trolls such as 'ME' thrive on their own desperation.

On a similar note, keep an eye out for the thread where he incorrectly attributed Shylock's speech to Jesus, then attempted to justify it by claiming they were both "Real Jews."

Shalom & Boker tov, Peter...This is an outright lie coming from the mouth of an apostate who is not a Yehu'di/Jew, as this is not what Will Dockery was stating.

True. But I see his chanting "The South shall rise again!" mantra as being along the same lines. I went to Virginia last Summer, and the local souvenir shops had all sorts of Confederate-oriented flags, posters, bumper stickers, t-shirts, coffee mugs, you name it. The Damn Yankee woman I'm married to wouldn't let me buy any!

Oh boy, oh boy! Better get to posting. We wouldn't want any of your fans to feel left out.
No, I wouldn't.

I'll underscore this one, Hell no I don't want to leave anyone out if I can
help it.

Face it, it rankles you that outsiders ARE reading my work, enjoying my
music.

You don't have to admit or deny it, Pendragon... you don't "get it", so you
hate it... want to "burn" it.

That's my point.

It's a joke, Tubby. Your Russian friends show up out of nowhere, comment on your poem, then disappear.

How do they even know to find you here? You're not fooling anyone.

The funniest part is that you're trying to convince ... who? A handful of poets who dislike you?

Get real.

It's been *years* since Dreckery was as upset as this. With great
reluctance, I have to commend Creepy Mike on his good work. Keep it

Yet you show it, Pendragon, and not just jealousy for me, but of almost all
modern poets, and artists...

Your animus is so strong you want to burn the poetry... in some cases even
the artists themselves.

All out of jealous and bitterness that these modernists rendered "your"

Are you familiar with the story of Poe's "Al Aaraaf"? It's a wandering star that rescues all the Beauty from a planet before it is annihilated. I consider myself to be one of its denizens.

I'm aware that the Creepster is envious of modern poets who, unlike

But I'm not aware that he's expressed a wish for the poems or poets to

He's also copped your "get cancer and die", line, by the way.

In the Netherlands, it's an everyday insult.

On the Internet, it's more common than it ought to be.

But I reserve such instructions exclusively for proven plagiarists.

I had forgotten the book burning ferver, early on.
Ginsberg, Bukowski, Bob Dylan books were, in Pendragon's judgment, to be burned.
Oh, it's very important to remember. It was the start of things.
(1) On my part (and I don't think I was alone), I began to see him as fasc- No, let's just say, as reprehensible.
(2) I also suspect that, for his part, he fabricated the child molestation allegations against Ginsberg to justify that remark. After all, who wouldn't want to kill a child molester? Dworkin, as we've seen, used to go around the country saying she wanted him shot, and no one batted an eye.
So, really, Pendragon's "book and author burning" comments were the start of the whole mess.
Had I ever been stupid enough to own a book by Ginsberg, Bukowski, or Dylan, I would have burned it.

Not because Ginsberg's a child molester, but because their poetry is garbage. When I was young, we burned our trash.

Fair enough, Dreckster. That'll do. For the first time I can remember,
you told the truth about something. Of course, the Creepster is
entitled to burn copies of books that he owns, but it would still be a
creepy thing to want to do, if he seriously wanted to do it.

Unlike the Creepwit, I've never even contemplated being stupid enough
to own a book by Ginsberg, Bukowski or Dylan.

At this point, Pendragon, it can pretty much be said that if your fingers are typing, there's a new life and/or misrepresentation being posted, and re-posted.

But, as you admitted to PJR, you'll sink to any low level or dirty trick to "win" a flame war.

Why do you keep lying, Doucheboy?

When you woke up in a drunken stupor, Friday morning, you said you were going to post a quote by me to back that statement up.

You later sobered up enough to realize that no such quote ever existed.

Now take your fungus-ridden foot out of your big fat mouth and apologize.

Life During Reconstruction
And after a certain point
it was like
blow on my dice
I want to roll them.
Go ahead and see
just how bad it can get
in this black, and blue night.
Help it along
show me the code
for that secret madrigal.
Well when she died
it changed a lot
like that song about becoming
stardust and golden.
Just an abstract concept
on another level.
Then any hope of a happy ending
was set
nothing but hellos and dream tears
the Gods made that choice.
Doom!
My pain, you'll never know
that I found impossible
trying
to get over
to rise above.
My feet walk
until they are sore
over in the suburbs.
Old Corning Town
across state line
and Georgia law
across old Dillingham bridge.
Your smile will forever
elude me
M'Lady Katherine
your eternal beauty.
Sidewalk spinner
in the eternal wobbling
and your claims of love
never acted on.
And is it really tragic
watching it burn
from on high
up on Wright Road.
Or just my self pity
my self hatred
just another
dirt track demon
buried behind a smile.
A tattoo on his arm
that says "Maybe"
a little of both probably.
Like Rag Picker Joe
on crutches.
I was betrayed
heartbroken
banked out on the Speedway
a dozen times.
With a hundred
putrid metaphors
of course I never counted
before the final one.
I reckon this one
hit the nerve
holding the handle
with a suitcase to Hades..
Until you ascended
and I found myself free.
I was farmed out
of senior service
of Her Majesty
The Angel of Esquiline Hill.
Sweet dark angel
of the ozone stigmata
the slick red mud
of the river bank.
Twilight Girl
But I never wanted this freedom.
This drifting
on a black sea
throwing dice and coins
at the phantom gunboat
in an underwater railroad.
While you sleep tight
with the fishes.
No light in sight
And none expected.

across old Dillingham bridge.
Your smile will forever
elude me
M'Lady Katherine
your eternal beauty.
Sidewalk spinner
in the eternal wobbling
and your claims of love
never acted on.
And is it really tragic
watching it burn
from on high
up on Wright Road.
Or just my self pity
my self hatred
just another
dirt track demon
buried behind a smile.
A tattoo on his arm
that says "Maybe"
a little of both probably.
Like Rag Picker Joe
on crutches.
I was betrayed
heartbroken
banked out on the Speedway
a dozen times.
With a hundred
putrid metaphors
of course I never counted
before the final one.
I reckon this one
hit the nerve
holding the handle
with a suitcase to Hades..
Until you ascended
and I found myself free.
I was farmed out
of senior service
of Her Majesty
The Angel of Esquiline Hill.
Sweet dark angel
of the ozone stigmata
the slick red mud
of the river bank.
Twilight Girl
But I never wanted this freedom.
This drifting
on a black sea
throwing dice and coins
at the phantom gunboat
in an underwater railroad.
While you sleep tight
with the fishes.
No light in sight
And none expected.

Deep penetrating poem!!! I thank!!

Life During Reconstruction
And after a certain point
it was like
blow on my dice
I want to roll them.
Go ahead and see
just how bad it can get
in this black, and blue night.
Help it along
show me the code
for that secret madrigal.
Well when she died
it changed a lot
like that song about becoming
stardust and golden.
Just an abstract concept
on another level.
Then any hope of a happy ending
was set
nothing but hellos and dream tears
the Gods made that choice.
Doom!
My pain, you'll never know
that I found impossible
trying
to get over
to rise above.
My feet walk
until they are sore
over in the suburbs.
Old Corning Town
across state line
and Georgia law
across old Dillingham bridge.

Or just my self pity
my self hatred
just another
dirt track demon
buried behind a smile.
A tattoo on his arm
that says "Maybe"
a little of both probably.
Like Rag Picker Joe
on crutches.
I was betrayed
heartbroken
banked out on the Speedway
a dozen times.
With a hundred
putrid metaphors
of course I never counted
before the final one.
I reckon this one
hit the nerve
holding the handle
with a suitcase to Hades..
Until you ascended
and I found myself free.
I was farmed out
of senior service
of Her Majesty
The Angel of Esquiline Hill.
Sweet dark angel
of the ozone stigmata
the slick red mud
of the river bank.
Twilight Girl
But I never wanted this freedom.
This drifting
on a black sea
throwing dice and coins
at the phantom gunboat
in an underwater railroad.
While you sleep tight
with the fishes.
No light in sight
And none expected.

Actually, Pendragon, I KNOW you don't "get" modern poetry or other modern art forms, which is why it is no great loss if you did decide to stop reading my poetry.

Rather than pretending not to read it, as you are now.

You're delusional, Lard-o.

Your "poetry" is unreadable. As I've noted on numerous occasions in the past, it works well enough for your milieu: sung in a half-empty dive bar at 3am.

I've wasted far too much time trying to read through it in the past. Now that I'm no longer obligated to read it, I feel like shouting out the words of Martin Luther King (slightly paraphrased): Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, I am free at last!

And you say that about almost every great poet of the past hundred years or more.

Admit it, you're jealous of modern art and poetry, and are too shallow to "get it", Pendragon.

I don't blame you for being bitter, Pen... that your bland, sing-song style of shallow and pretentious poetry is defunct.

Since you seem to want the truth, there it is.

Hell Will, you'd be hard pressed to find a homeless person who was jealous of you.

At least it's poetry.

Here is real for you, Pen.

I'm not here to convince anyone anything... or to compete in a popularity
contest, Pen.

Your silly jeering about how people "don't like me" just proves my point
what a shallow, swishy little man you are.

Note, dear reader, that Dreckery imagines himself to be one of the
great poets of the past hundred years or more. In fact, I well
remember how, when challenged to say whether William Shakespeare or
Will Dreckery was the greater poet, he evaded answering.

He is, but what you imagine to be modern poetry is just illiterate
drug-addled drivel.

Watch out, Creepster! He'll be accusing you of "whistle-lisping" next.
As you may remember, that was his reaction on learning that some of
AAPC/RAP regular Rob Evans's poems had been broadcast by the BBC.

From the Dreckery-to-English lexicon:

Truth (noun) : lies

Life During Reconstruction
And after a certain point
it was like
blow on my dice
I want to roll them.
Go ahead and see
just how bad it can get
in this black, and blue night.
Help it along
show me the code
for that secret madrigal.
Well when she died
it changed a lot
like that song about becoming
stardust and golden.
Just an abstract concept
on another level.
Then any hope of a happy ending
was set
nothing but hellos and dream tears
the Gods made that choice.
Doom!
My pain, you'll never know
that I found impossible
trying
to get over
to rise above.
My feet walk
until they are sore
over in the suburbs.
Old Corning Town
across state line
and Georgia law
across old Dillingham bridge.
Your smile will forever
elude me
M'Lady Katherine
your eternal beauty.
Sidewalk spinner
in the eternal wobbling
and your claims of love
never acted on.
And is it really tragic
watching it burn
from on high
up on Wright Road.
Or just my self pity
my self hatred
just another
dirt track demon
buried behind a smile.
A tattoo on his arm
that says "Maybe"
a little of both probably.
Like Rag Picker Joe

You're one of the Everetts of Oakland Park, by chance?

Yes, if so, I remember y'all well.
